Sculptra Aesthetic IN NAGS HEAD, NC
Sculptra Aesthetic
Sculptra is an injectable, water-soluble product used to restore broad areas of facial volume lost due to aging, illness, or dramatic weight loss. It is a COLLAGEN STIMULATOR, not a filler. Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which is a biocompatible synthetic substance that stimulates collagen production. Sculptra is injected deep into the lower layers of the skin and GRADUALLY (over 1-9 months) improves the affected area. It can be injected into the cheeks, the temples, and into the ‘marionette lines’ running from the corners of the mouth downward. It is not suitable for the lips or the undereye area.
The main benefits of Sculptra are:
- It can be placed in broad areas of the cheeks to improve facial volume, whereas the HA fillers are injected in a more localized manner.
- It can be injected in the temples much more safely than HA filler, as there is no risk of vascular occlusion with Sculptra.
- It improves the quality of overlying skin by STIMULATING COLLAGEN PRODUCTION.
- Because it gradually stimulates your skin to make its own collagen, it gives a longer-lasting benefit: 3 years or more.
