A HydraFacial starts off much like any other professional facial does: with a deep cleansing of your skin and pores—only it goes 20 times deeper than a topical application would. The cleansing process includes a serum plus a mix of botanical cleansers and hydrating and skin-soothing ingredients. The pen- like HydraPeel tip whisks away makeup and dirt from your pores. Next comes exfoliation using a mix of low levels of glycolic and salicylic acids, which helps to shed the dead, top layer of skin cells and uncover a fresh, more radiant-looking complexion. As with any chemical exfoliating treatment, you may feel a bit of tingling at this time. But because it’s a mild peel, skin shouldn’t sting or burn.

Next up, a vacuum-like tip called the vortex-extraction nozzle suctions out blackheads and any other remaining impurities from deep within your pores while also delivering a solution of salicylic acid.
