PRP
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is produced from your own blood. It is a concentration of platelets (cells that circulate through your blood) and plasma (the liquid portion of your blood). These elements contain many factors that grow collagen on non-hair-bearing skin, such as the face, and stimulate hair growth when it is injected into the scalp. PRP can be injected into folds of the skin, or it can be applied directly to the top of the skin after microneedling.
PRF
PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) has replaced PRP in our clinic for microneedling treatments, as it contains more stem cells than PRP. When compared to platelet-rich plasma (PRP), platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) has a higher concentration of platelets, fibrin, and white blood cells but has fewer stem cells. When platelets adhere to the fibrin network in the skin, they release growth factors that generate fresh skin cells, collagen, and blood vessels. The growth factors contained in PRF are also emitted at a slower pace than those found in PRP, resulting in a more enduring anti-aging therapy.
